Treatment effectiveness and safety

We aim to improve the understanding of the effectiveness and safety of medication used in the treatment of musculoskeletal disease.

We do this by assessing the effectiveness and safety of:

• biologic, biosimilar and new targeted therapies;
• conventional synthetic anti-rheumatic drugs and glucocorticoids;
• analgesics for chronic musculoskeletal pain;
• non-pharmacological treatments.
